COLUMBIA, SC-
Thelisha Casey was named Reporter of the Year for the radio
division of the 2009 STAR Awards, during the South Carolina
Broadcasters Association annual convention.
The convention's awards banquet was held at the Columbia
Metropolitan Convention center Aug. 15. Thelisha was
nominated for her Columbia 411 community affairs reports in
which she produced and anchored segments on the mandatory
digital switch, fighting homelessness in the Midlands,
becoming a foster parent, donating blood to the American
Red Cross, and preparing for hurricane season.
Thelisha is the news director, assistant program director
and afternoon show host for WFMV Gospel 95.3 FM (Glory
Communications, Inc.).
